Relax on a tropical sandbank, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, and end your day searching for dolphins as the sun sets over the Maldives.
The Maldives is at its best in the last hours of daylight, and this trip is built around them. You leave Malé at 3:00 PM by dhoni or launch ferry and head out to a sandbank — a strip of white sand with nothing but turquoise water around it.
There is time to swim and snorkel in clear water before the boat moves on to look for wild dolphins. Pods are often seen in these waters in the late afternoon, though they are wild animals and nothing can be promised.
The trip ends with sunset from the water on the way back to Malé, at around 6:00 PM.
The stops below are the plan for the day. The map shows where they are; offshore activity points are shown as indicative areas because they are chosen on the day.
Cruise in search of wild dolphins. Sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Route may vary depending on conditions and operational requirements. Sandbank and dolphin-search areas are indicative, not fixed locations.
Photography of this kind of trip. Conditions, wildlife and light vary from day to day.
